SportsShoes.com to sponsor the Elite Mile at the Cardiff Cross Challenge
We are delighted to announce the UK’s no. 1 online retailer for run, gym and hike, Sportsshoes.com will be sponsoring the Elite Mile at the prestigious Cardiff Cross Challenge this November.
The 2023 Cardiff Cross Challenge will return this year for its 26th event and will take place in Llandaff Fields, Cardiff on Saturday 11th November.
For the third year in a row, the Cardiff Cross Challenge has achieved the World Athletics Cross Country Tour Gold Label and is the only Cross Country event to do so in the UK. It will also form part of the British Athletics Cross Challenge Series and the second fixture of the John H Collins Gwent Cross Country League.
As part of the sponsorship agreement, Sportsshoes.com will be providing prize money for the top three winners in the men’s and women’s Elite Mile. These two races are new additions to this year’s schedule and will be an important race for those athletes looking to compete at the European short course trials two weeks later in Liverpool.
CEO of Welsh Athletics, James Williams, stated:
This is the biggest and best Cross Country event in the UK, and we have ambitions to grow it further. We are always looking to align with partners who share our ambitions to give athletes the best possible experience and to help drive up the standards of performances across the UK.
It has been clear throughout our discussions, that Sportsshoes absolutely share these ambitions and we are delighted to have them on board once again.
