Everything you need to know about the 2023 Cardiff Cross Challenge

The 2023 Cardiff Cross Challenge returns for the 26 event this Saturday at Llandaff Fields!

For the third year in a row, the Cardiff Cross Challenge has achieved the World Athletics Cross Country Tour Gold Label and is the only Cross-Country event to do so in the UK. It will also form part of the British Athletics Cross Challenge Series and the second fixture of the John H Collins Gwent Cross Country League.

The introduction of the Senior Male and Senior Women’s Elite Mile is another exciting addition to the Cardiff Cross Challenge. These two races will be an important race for those athletes looking to compete at the European short course trials two weeks later in Liverpool.

Race Day Parking

Event car parking is available at Cardiff Metropolitan University which is within 300 metres of the course: Cardiff Metropolitan University, Sat Nav: CF5 2YB.

For parking at the University, please use the footbridge over the A48.

We advise competitors not to travel directly by vehicle to the park entrance on Cathedral Road to avoid congestion in the residential area of Pontcanna. This is extremely important because the future of this event relies on us not blocking the Highway.
