On a beautiful day in Cardiff’s Llandaff fields, Cross Country racing returned with high class competitive races across the age groups. The event which recently gained World Athletics Cross Country Tour Gold level status, also hosted the first round of the John H Collins Gwent league which brought local clubs out in force.
The senior women’s race was won by 2019 winner, Charlotte Arter of Cardiff AC, ahead of club mate and training partner, Jenny Nesbitt, with Jess Gibbon of Reading AC third.
The men’s race saw Hugo Milner of Derby AC overcome Omar Ahmed of Birchfield in a sprint finish, with road specialist, Jake Smith coming in third.
