Welsh Athletics are delighted to confirm that this coming weekend’s Cardiff Cross Challenge has been confirmed as a GOLD level event and one of the first events in this year’s IAAF World Athletics Cross Country Tour.
James Williams, CEO of Welsh Athletics commented:
“We are absolutely delighted that for the first time, the Cardiff Cross Challenge is now part of the World Athletics Cross Country Tour, joining Belfast as the only races in Britain on the tour. This is aligned to Welsh Athletics ambition of raising the profile of all parts of the sport across Wales, whilst also showcasing Wales as an International sporting venue. “
