Welsh athlete Charlie Hulson hopes for a strong performance as he opens up his cross country season on home turf in the Welsh capital this weekend. Hulson’s last appearance at the Cardiff Cross Challenge was back in 2016, where he finished 3rd in the Senior Men’s race, and he hopes to produce a similar performance on Saturday afternoon. The North Wales based athlete has already won the Telford 10k, Chester 10k and Cardiff Bay 10k this year, and recently ran the fastest leg at the Northern Road Relays whilst representing Sale Harriers. He’ll aim to be competing at the sharp end of the Senior Men’s 9.6km race once more at Llandaf Fields on Saturday.
